DownEast Basics look a like sweater

This is my version of the sweater I saw from DownEast Basics Fall/Winter catalog.  I made this one for my daughter and one in grey for myself.
I love it!
I had some pink satin ribbon that I pleated in place and stitched down along the top side of the ribbon.  When I took out the pins I had and instant ruffle edge.

Pin the first row and stitch in place.  Then pin and stitch the next row and so on.

Drama Queen’s sweater
My sweater.  I stitched mine down on both sides and only added 2 rows of ruffles.
