Color Coded Keys (No cost crafts)

I finally got fed up with not being able to locate the right key to unlock the front door so I decided to color code them. Now I know you can get those key covers to put on your keys that are different colors or have cute little patterns on them, but that’s just not what I go to the store for or I will just forget to look.  So I came up with a simple no cost way to recognize you front door key from all the other keys on your key chain.
You will need keys and nail polish.

Whatever kind you have will work.  I think I picked these up at Target a while back, but most of us all have some polish at home.  You want the color to be dark so it will cover the key.  Light pink or clear with sparkles isn’t going to work very well I tried it…

Ta-Da!

New keys you can find fast.

My kid’s love to unlock the door so this worked out great for them because now they know which key to use.  Pink for the front door and white for the back door.

It didn’t cost me a thing.

New keys to open the door.

Love it!

I’m going to try to do a segment every week on No cost crafts please tell me if you think it’s a good idea and if you would be interested.

  17. Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up.

The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in
Firefox. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something
to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know.

The design and style look great though! Hope you get the
    problem fixed soon. Thanks
