Jewelry Holder Tutorial

This is my new jewelry holder.   I have been wanting to make one for about six months now and finally go tired of all the jewelry spread out all over the dresser top.  I couldn’t find anything and forgot what I even had.  Don’t you hate that.  Pulse it looks so messy.  This project to me about twenty minutes.  Seriously.
This is what you will need:

Old or new frame
batting
fabric
scissors
spray glue
U pins for the back of the frame
drapery pins (you can find these at Walmart or Joann’s)

As you can see here I have already glued down the batting to the cardboard insert and started to glue the fabric over it.  I sprayed glue around the board and pulled my centers in first.  You want to make sure they are snug.  Then I pulled in the corners and wrapped them like a present.

This is what you get when done.

Place your frame over the top of board and this is what you get.

Then you will hammer these little U pins into the back of the frame to hold your board into the frame.

Here are those drapery pins I was telling you about.  They are made to hook into the fabric.  I placed them into the board staggering them so my longer necklaces wouldn’t hang over the other ones.  I did two on the side near the top of the frame and two in the center and lastly I placed three across the bottom for bracelets.

All finished!  Just hang up your jewelry.  I was also able to poke my earrings and flower pins into the board.  Perfect.  Now my jewelry is displayed nicely and I can actually find what I’m looking for.  I am so glad I finally did this project.
