HomeMade Squirt Guns

Okay I know this is kind of a silly idea, but when it’s hot outside and you have three kids wanting to play you come up with crazy stuff to keep them busy.  So anyway my son came home and said that school is having water day tomorrow and he needed me to go to the store and buy him a squirt gun to take to school.  Well me being frugal and a little lazy didn’t want to drive all the way to town to get squirt guns.  And my son would not be happy with the little ones you get from the $1 store.  Plus he would have that broken in ten minutes.  No, he wants the you know $20 supper soaker one.  Bigger and more expensive is better according to him.  Well, my answer to him was no, and he stomped off to his room. (I’m so mean.)  So I made a squirt bottle soaker.  He was impressed and happy with what I came up with.  I had some colored duct tape to make it look cool for school.    Yeah!
It’s just an idea for summer fun with your kids.
We all know they need lots of activities to do for summer.
I would love to hear about some of your summer activities you do with your kids.
So I have more for these monster’s to do besides video games.
Ugh!

  1. That's a great idea. And definitely a way to save money. Good thinking!New follower from Wandering Wednesday

  2. I should totally do this. I have three boys. There is constant fighting over who has what squirt gun and the fact that they are too hard to refill and don't shoot good enough. One of those squirt BOTTLES would hold more before refills and they DO shoot well! Great idea!Jaimee @ craft-interrupted.blogspot.com
