Embellished Paper Lantern ( DIY )

Pretty little Miss Drama Queen had her yearly dance recital last weekend.
It was a very good performance.

Yeah,
you danced so beautifully!

I was given a paper lantern earlier in the year to decorate or embellish any way I liked.
It was for part of the dance performance.
Lucky for me that I just happen to love anything crafty.
So this is how I embellished it…

You want to make one…

I was able to find some babies breath flowers at the $Dollar Tree.
I bought 8 bunches for this project and I used all of them.
I took the flowers and leaves off the stems.
Saving the leaves for another project.
Plugged in my hot glue gun and started gluing the little flowers around the lantern.

After all the flowers were glued on and a few burned finger tips later I was done.
I had to add a glittery butterfly to it for more whimsy and flare.
Butterfly was also from the $Dollar Tree.
Now that the show is done she has a pretty lantern to hang in her room.

This would also be a great gift for any little girl who loves glitter and flowers.
