My kids are so hard on shoes it’s ridiculous! I feel like all I do is buy shoes for them. Momma wants a new pair of shoes! So anyway, little Miss Drama Queen got a new pair of “Boots with the Fur” from grandma about a month ago and can you believe it the girl wore out the toes on them already. It’s crazy! I don’t know what to do about this.
So me being me I was going to see if I could fix them. I can’t mess them up any more than they already are. I had it in my head that I could cover the toe with a patch of fabric in the same color but I didn’t have anything in my stash that would work right. Plus I had no idea how I was going to attach it to the boot. Until I found some glitter.
Then it hit me!
Lets glitter up the toes…
I didn’t want to get any extra glitter or glue on any other part of the boot except the toe so I taped it off. I applied a really thick layer of epoxy 6000 glue to the toe and poured on my silver glitter. Yeah glitter! I set them aside and let it dry for 24 hours. I came back with some Elmer’s spray glue over the top of the glitter just to make sure the glitter wasn’t going to come off at least for a while. Let’s hope we can get a few more months out of these cute little boots.
Not bad compared to what they looked like before. Plus now they are Glittered up boots with the fur.
