Originally I bought the Duck Tape to make those cute flower pens that were all over the internet last summer. Unfortunately they turned out like pooh. And ended up to be one of my many craft failures. I hate that a lot of my craft ideas never come out the way I expect them to. It should all work out just the way I saw it in my head and look fabulous. Right? These cute little pens are simple enough to make but to make them pretty was not as easy as I thought. So I gave up. All the pens and Duck Tape I had bought got thrown into a box and forgotten about.
Until I found the box of tape the other day when I was trying to organize all my craft stuff. Lets cover some boxes for storage instead.
Start with some boxes and Duck Tape.
This box turned out so cute. I was able to accomplish a great new decorative storage box out of that Duck Tape failure project.
Yeah!!!

Clever Girl! I love that roll of duct tape – happened to see some christmas cane duct tape at OSH this past season but at $7.99 I took a pass! I love your use of covering the boxes – those size storage boxes are so handy yet they don’t always withstand the test of time. Your use of the duct tape insures it will withstand time and fashion!

I have ten of those really ugly plastic drawers that you can buy at Wal-Mart. For the last week I have been trying to think of a way to make them look better. I bought a few rolls of the decorative duct tape and am going to take a shot at it this week. Any tips? I am afraid that maybe there is too much to cover to make it look good.

Hi,
I had exactly the same idea, but unfortunately I couldn’t do this because the Duck Tape that I had was too small to cover the box… 😦
Anyway, I love the cute designs that you have!
