Ruffled Rose Belt How~to…

Here is a quick little tutorial on how to make a belt today.  Anyone can do this little project. It’s simple yet easy and fast.  Who doesn’t love that?  Make it for yourself or for a friend.

This is what I used to make this cute little Ruffled Rose Belt…

A wide elastic belt (Forever 21)

Ruffled Rose trim (Wal-Mart) You can usually find this ribbon in the fabric department with all the ribbons.  Or you can find the ribbon trim here.

I pinned the ribbon onto my belt and sewed a nice little straight stitch down the elastic.  You will want to stretch your elastic as you sew it in place to make sure the belt still has some give.  Two or three rows of the trim onto the belt depending on how ruffly you want it and your done.

Sorry no photos of the belt on.  It was a gift for my sister.  Lucky girl!  I need to remember to make at least two of everything so I can keep one.

I just love how feminine and girly this belt turned out.  Would be super cute with a tank dress and a denim jacket.

What do you think?
