I’m in love with how stinking cute these are. They started out as little plain black flats and with just a few simple added touches I turned them into really cute Embellished ballerina flats. I think I’m going to need a pair too.
Embellishing materials needed:
- ribbon
- buttons
- scrap fabric
- needle & thread
- scissors
- hot glue & gun
- ballerina flats
To make the embellishment brooch I guess you could call it. I made a flat bow with no tails. Glued it onto the shoe. Then I took my scrap fabric and sewed a running stitch down one edge of the fabric. Pulled the thread to gather the fabric creating my flower. Hot glued a button to the center of my fabric flower and then glued that onto the bow. That’s it! The ballerina flat is now embellished and ready to wear.
This is a fantastically simple and easy project anyone can do. Hope this will inspire you to try to embellish your own shoes.
Everything is better with a little embellishment.
Don’t you think?
