Spring inspired Straw flower tote

This adorable tote will make you fee like you are on vacation when you use it. I’m so getting ready for warmer weather with this refashioned Spring inspired Straw flower tote.   I added this poppy flower to give the tote a real whimsical feeling.  You could pack some sunscreen, a book and a bottle of water in this little tote and head to the beach for some fun in the sun.

Want to make one?

You will need:

• a straw tote ( got mine at Target for $2.50)
• hot glue & glue gun
• satin fabric cut into circles
• two buttons
• lighter & a clothes pin ( to burn the edges of your fabric circles and a pin to hold the fabric so you don’t burn your fingers )
• Your going to make a layered poppy flower for your tote.  Kim from A girl & a glue gun has a great tutorial on making your flower.

Take your plain tote and hot glue your big flower you just made right to the front of it…  I kind of offset my flower to the right side of the tote.  But you could also center it and that would be very cute too.
