It’s been a really busy here with kids and Spring break going on, but I’m so ready to get back to my 1 month Refashion challenge. It must be refashioned or it has to go is my ultimate goal. New clothes and a cleaner closet. Lucky for me I was able to sew this cute little tank top dress in a matter of minutes.
I was inspired by this cute little tank top dress I came across from Tea Rose Home blog. Let me tell you this girl can sew and she has the cutest sewing projects for little girls. I just love to check out all her great tutorials.
I was able to use a white tank top that was getting just a little too short for my little one to wear anymore. You know were the belly is playing peek a boo every time she moves. The girl is just getting so tall. I just happened to have an old shirt of mine that needed some help so the top is getting refashioned into something else.
I laid the top out flat and cut straight across it just under the arm holes. Pinned and sewed the top onto the tank top with the tank inside the other top. Using my overlock/serger machine I was able to sew all the way around the two pieces for a nice finished edge.
Now we have a new dress for Spring.
Momma had to have one too. My refashion is more of a free-flowing long tank top. It is not really long enough to wear as a dress… But still super cute paired with my cardigan. Fun, fun, fun!
Are you trying any Refashion projects?
I would love to hear and see any pic you have. Send me an e~mail or a link to your site if you have one.
I hope your come back to see more.
Have a great Monday…
Jeanna
