Rockin Rhinestone Sunglasses

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day…  Mine was very nice and relaxing.

 I know that my posts have been few and far between.  If any of you are interested in guest posting a project of something related to the theme of my blog send me an E~mail with your idea.  It has been so busy around here with the weather warming up so quickly and kid’s sports and other commitments going on I am constantly on the go.  I did however get to update a pair of plain and boring old sunglasses into some Rockin Rhinestone Sunglasses this weekend.  How cool is this?

This is what you need to make your own pair~

1. Sunglasses 
2. glue on rhinestones ( you can find them @ any craft store)
3.  a good epoxy glue ( I like E-6000)
4.  a pair of tweezers

• Grab your sunglasses.  New ones.  Old ones.  It doesn’t really matter.  If you have a pair that you really like the way they fit then use those.
•  I set out all of my rhinestones face up so I could see what colors I was working with.
• In random order I just started glueing one by one the stones to the glasses.
•  Once the side was completely covered I spread a thick layer of the E-6000 over all the rhinestones.  I used the side of the glue tube to spread it out.
•  Let them dry and done!

You can also get creative and make any kind of design you like with your rhinestones.  I made some cute little flowers on my daughter’s heart glasses.  She loved them but was still a little disappointed that she didn’t have lots more rhinestones on hers.  I’ll make it up to her somehow.
