DIY Pretty placemat pillows

This has to be one of the simplest DIY projects I have done yet.  Everything is pretty much already done for you.

Lucky for me I found this 4 pack of place-mats at Target and they matched my decor perfectly.

 Woohoo!

I really said that in the store and people were staring at me.

The things you will need:

place-mats that have a front and back

a seam ripper

Stuffing fluff

thread & needle

scissors

  1. Open up your seem
  2. stuff your pillow with fluff
  3. sew it closed

It took me longer to stuff the pillows with the fluff than anything.

Not to shabby for new pillows out of place-mats .  I really like them and they are way better than what was originally on my couch.

When was the last time you updated your pillows?

I would also love it if you would like Drama Queen Seams on Facebook.

Have a good one

  1. Love this and this idea is awesome! I can picture myself doing the same thing in target and completely obvious of the people around me looking at me like a crazy person. That happens often enough I just don’t even notice anymore 😉

  1. […] Use those rainy summer afternoons to craft and create some wonderful homemade gifts. Come Christmas time, your schedule will be too packed for crafting, but there are many things you can make in advance that anyone would love to receive. — One great idea is a no-sew blanket. Using fleece fabric bought by the yard at your local craft store, you can easily make a warm and fuzzy blanket. The best part about these is that fabrics can be bought in a variety of prints, making it possible to make superhero blanket for your four-year-old nephew, as well as a University throw for your graduating niece. — Another great homemade present is a thrifty throw pillow. Using throw pillows that you’ve outgrown or that you find off season on super sale, make a soft and cuddly statement piece with Christmas sweater throw covers. Thrift stores are always crawling with big, bulky knit sweaters which can be easily transformed into stylish winter pillowcases. […]
