I had originally bought a large variety pack of embroidery floss to show my little one how to braid. We where going to be going on a long car ride and I thought this would be a great project for her. She could also make a few bracelets while in the car. Of course the little Drama Queen got frustrated and watched a movie instead. Well mommy ended up playing with the embroidery floss. I ended up making some friendship bracelets and a few braided bookmarks on our long car ride to the beach…

The Beach!
Even something as simple as some braided embroidery floss can look amazing laying inside a good book. It’s nothing fancy but it works for me and the book I was reading at the time. Some beads or ribbon would look really good added onto the ends.
This would be a great end of the summer project to try out with your kids.
My boys are just not into crafty stuff any more so it’s just me and the Drama Queen.
I totally need to find some boyish type projects to keep them interested.
I do need a few wood projects built now that I think about it…
