Faux Fur Hooded Vest

This is the cutest faux fur vest I’ve ever seen!!!

What do you think?

It’s just one more of those handmade gifts my little Drama Queen got from grandma…  I just love the texture of this faux fur.  I’m telling you what my mom went above and beyond this year with the handmade Christmas gifts.  Wish I could say the same for myself…  I’m totally going to have to start sooner on handmade gift making.

My mom told me she was inspired to make the little kids in the family a hooded vest after she saw one in a Garnet Hill catalog.

She used McCall’s pattern #6430 but altered the pattern slightly.  Adding a hood and pulling in the back of the vest with some elastic so  it wasn’t to boxy looking.  Some beads for the zipper pull and this is one super cute vest.

My little one absolutely loves this faux fur hooded vest.

She wears it all the time.

  4. Aaaahhhhhh! Oh my, that is so cute. (And I have seen that fabric). Now, do I have time to squeeze that into the birthday sewing list? (3 weeks…) I might not be happy I saw this in a couple weeks. Lol!

  6. Thank you Jeanna, making gifts for you and all my grand-kids gives me so much pleasure. We are so blessed to have carried on and pass on the skills of sewing, creating, and crafting from the generations before us.
