Wrapping paper Covered Books (31 Days of Creativity)

I really want to participate in the 31 day challenge that The Nester hosts every year. I love her philosophy that It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.  Many of her DIY projects are using common house hold items that you wouldn’t normally think to use in your decor like coffee filters.

I’m really hopping that by participating in this challenge it will give me some creative and beautiful ideas that will inspire myself and maybe even you to be more creative.  I’m also trying to be more scheduled  and post regularly on the blog.

Day one: Wrapping paper Covered Books

This was a really fun and I guess you could say juvenile kind of project to do.  I just used some wrapping paper in this really nice print to cover some books so they match my decor a little better.

Wrapping paper

Scissors

Do you remember wrapping your books with a brown paper bag in school?

That’s the method I used to wrap these hard-bound catalogue books that we get in the mail every fall and spring.  No need to keep these books after the season is up so covering them up so they can be a pretty decor piece for the home.  You could also pick up some used books to cover from your local thrift store if you don’t have any on hand.
