Zippered make-up pouch

This little zippered make-up pouch took me 15 minutes to put together.

I was so excited when I completed it and threw it into my purse with all my necessities.

Materials~

11×8 – laminated cotton or oil cloth fabric

7 in zipper

I clipped my zipper down to the fabric using these little clips I found in the quilting section of Jo-Ann Fabrics.  They work much better than paper clips or clothes pins that I was using.  Now with right sides together and using a zipper foot stitch down the zipper to secure it in place.  Fold the fabric in half. Making sure to match up the edges with the other end of the zipper.  Repeat the sewing along the other side of the zipper as before.  Sew up the sides, trim the edges of the inside the pouch up nicely and turn right side out.  No need to line the inside of the pouch with it being laminated but you could if you wanted to.

I love my new make-up pouch.

 I needed one .

My old one wouldn’t zip anymore and things kept falling out into the bottom of my bag.

I always try to stuff more in it than possible and end up breaking the zipper.
